2018 FROM THE LEADERSHIP

The past year has been a transforming and productive year for AUCD as an organization and the networks it supports. We are pleased to provide you with the AUCD 2018 annual report. Included in this AUCD annual report are profiles of some of the leaders in our network and the cumulative data summarizing activities across our membership. As you read, we encourage you to reflect on the collective impact that our centers are helping to bring about. AUCD helps to achieve inclusive communities by advancing the four strategic priorities we have identified as a network:  growing diverse and skilled leaders; advancing policies and practices that improve lives; conducting and applying research and sharing knowledge; and modeling diversity, equity, and inclusion. AUCD Board of Directors

AUCD is governed by an 18-member Board of Directors. The Board is comprised entirely of AUCD network members; there are 5 executive committee members, 5 at-large members, 7 council representatives, and 1 trainee representative. AUCD Staff

The AUCD staff is led by Executive Director Andrew Imparato, and consists of 29 full time staff, 5 of whom work remotely, as well as a rich rotation of interns. Learn more about AUCD Staff.

AUCD Network

The AUCD Network is made up of 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs), 52 Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LENDs) programs, and 14 Eunice Kennedy Shriver Intellectual and Developmental Disability Research Centers (IDDRCs). 2018 Data

There are 133 AUCD member Centers and Programs located in the nation’s 56 states and territories, and the impact of their training, research, services, and outreach is felt in families and communities throughout the nation.

2018 FINANCIALS

AUCD is a 501(c)3 organization with a $6.7 million budget. The majority (80%) of AUCD’s income comes from grants and contracts; and the remainder comes from membership dues, event registrations, and private donations. Gifts to AUCD support a variety of activities, including amplifying the voices of people with disabilities, expanding opportunities for students and emerging leaders, and, in 2018, supporting recovery efforts for people with disabilities in American Samoa impacted by Super Typhoon Yutu.
