Network Training Impact

LEND trainees make up 60% of trainees in the AUCD network. A core component of the LEND program is to prepare trainees from diverse professional disciplines to assume leadership roles in their respective fields. Former trainees are routinely asked five years after leaving their program to self-report on consistent indicators of personal and professional leadership in four key areas of importance; the vast majority of trainees reached for follow up noted leadership in clinical, academic, public policy, and public health activities. AUCD member centers & programs continue to develop and augment training opportunities to meet the complex and changing needs of both pre-service professionals and the practicing workforce.  UCEDD and LEND faculty are seen by stakeholders across their respective states and territories as experts and leaders in their fields.
