AUCD is governed by an 16 -member Board of Directors. The Board is comprised entirely of AUCD network members; there are 5 executive committee members, 5 at-large members, 5 council representatives, 1 trainee representative and 1 representational seat.
The AUCD staff is led by Executive Director Johh Tschdia and consists of 21 full time staff, 5 COVID-19 Project Staff and 1 Policy Fellow, as well as a rich rotation of interns.
The AUCD Board of Directors has created six Councils to address issues and emerging topics related to core areas of focus. They meet annually at the AUCD Conference, serve as a mechanism for communication across AUCD network members with similar interests and charges, and plan activities to support leaders from across the country.
All AUCD Emerging Leaders are welcome to join one of many Special Interest Groups (SIGs). These groups provide network members with opportunities to share information, engage in discussion, and generate new ideas to make a broader impact.
AUCD is a membership organization that supports and promotes a national network of university-based interdisciplinary programs. In partnership with people with disabilities, AUCD promotes inclusion, dignity, respect, equity, justice, health, and well-being across the lifespan in all communities. Join us at www.aucd.org.
